How do you explain this tobacco-less “smoking?”?

Question by Chrisz: How do you explain this tobacco-less “smoking?”?
A guy in my math class put his fists to his mouth, and clicked his tongue very loudly, puffing his cheeks with his mouth closed. It had a distinct sound, even muffled. When he opened, smoke came out! His explanation was that he is part dragon. The room in which we were was quite warm, and he didn’t have a cigarette or anything. He did it multiple times, so there was no sleight-of-hand involved. He probably put his fists to his mouth to keep air from escaping his mouth.
Please read the details THOROUGHLY before you respond. I said that he didn’t have a cigarette, electronic or combustion.

Sounds like he was smoking an electronic cigarette. These are heating elements that vaporize a nicotine oil that you can inhale just like cigarette smoke.

It’s aerosolized saliva, and the production is kind of akin to sneezing inside the closed mouth and then opening the mouth a moment later to release only the smallest lightest particles.
