    It means if the government turns into a full-blown tyrannical oppressor, armed revolt is acceptable and necessary.

    Lol. There is no “metaphor” there. She said specifically that if they didn’t win at the polls, then ‘second amendment remedies’ might be called for. That means to get a gun shoot those who DID win at the polls, if you don’t approve. There is just no way to spin it to make it sound like she meant anything else.
