I love this; I’ve watched this a VERY LONG time ago; and rememerbered it; and when I saw it on here; I wondered and it is the same one I saw all those years ago; I thank u!!
@aDieuSeul I agree. Everything is so stylized and less genuine than in the later versions, right down to the acting. Even the indoor scenes in more recent versions don’t have such a staged feel to them.
Most adaptations of classic novels made in the seventies appear as though they are filmed on the stage of a theatre.

I do so love to read these marvellous comments, written by people who
still are capable of of expressing themselves in clear English. The decline
of this beautiful language on YT is dreadful to observe.

Wow.. I didn’t know there was another version of persuasion.. This is my second favourite of austens work
@msinvincible2000 @taedonsgirl I have to say, having read the book many times, I find this adaptation to be the most accurate as far as story goes. As far as fashion and hairstyle, it may be slightly less accurate than the 2007 version… but here, at least, Anne dresses in a similar style to the rest of her family.
Beauty-wise, it’s all a matter of personal taste. Anyway, the point is to enjoy the movie, not pick out small details like who’s the prettiest XD
@taedonsgirl I do not agree: the costumes and hair (especially the hair) here are not historically accurate. The 1995 and 2007 versions do not have this default. As for the beauty of the actors, the 2007 version is far more faithful to the book, and these actors do not play as well as those of 1995 and 2007′s versions
oh wow, the costumes in this one are SO much better than those in the 1995 and the 2007….and the characters so much better looking
